Many don't have a warm winter coat, snow pants, boots, gloves or hats to keep them warm at recess time and every minute they are outside.
Bundle Up Kids needs your support to help students in need stay warm.

We work directly with counselors, teachers and principals in the Appleton and Menasha public school districts to determine what students need warm gear.

A student gives a "thumbs up" after putting on new boots, snow pants, gloves and a coat from Bundle Up Kids.

In 2009, Bundle Up Kids helped 174 elementary, middle and high school kids in Appleton and Menasha stay warm. We distributed
  • 62 pairs of boots
  • 45 pairs of snow pants
  • 55 pairs of gloves
  • 51 hats
  • 26 coats
  • 85 pairs of brand new socks
  • 37 sets of mittens
  • 13 scarves
  • 1 vest

In 2010, we were able to keep 25% more kids warm. More than 230 students in the Appleton and Menasha Public School Districts were provided with warm winter gear from Bundle Up Kids.  Over 1225 items were distributed including:
  • 155 pairs of boots
  • 110 coats
  • 126 pairs of snow pants
  • 151 pairs of water proof gloves
  • 57 sweatshirts
  • 126 hats
  • 41 scarves
  • 229 pairs of new socks
  • 230 pairs of mittens
  • 200 toothbrushes with toothpaste

Bundle Up KIDS is a program I created in 2009 to provide snow pants, boots, gloves, coats, scarves, sweatshirts and hats to local students in need. Many of my teacher friends told me about students that don't have these supplies and my 6 year old son told me he couldn't play with all of his friends at recess because they didn't have snow pants and boots to play in the snow. I knew I had a pair of extra snow pants I could donate and knew others would too.

I contacted my children's school counselor and teacher friends and asked them if they would refer kids in need to me. I would find warm winter gear, new or used, thru donations and would deliver the items to them. Well, it worked and Bundle Up Kids was created!

Every child in the Fox Cities needs winter attire and my mission is to make sure every child in need in our community has warm winter gear. With the support of the community and the help of teachers, counselors, school nurses and principals, myself and volunteers are able to help kids in our community stay warm during our cold winters.

Sincerely,
